    1.8t golf stage 2 question

Hey all, I drive a 1.8t gti 03 revo stage 1 with a gfb dv, ramair intake and a 3inch custom cat back. I know I need a downpipe for stage 2 but is there anything else required for stage 2 as I'm new to the vw world. Also Is there anyone in Melbourne south east area that can help install a boost gauge ?

    Hmmm where's Gavin? Haha

I'm not sure if stage 2 on the k03 is actually worth it as the performance gain from the mild tune difference won't match the price you pay for it.

I would be aiming for a bigger turbo. K03s is an easy step up. I went this route and I think it's excellent.

K04 or bigger requires additional parts.

If you want to stay with your k03, I would get the downpipe and install it, see how it feels.

Btw you should have a go at installing the boost gauge, its very achievable. If you need advice just ask.

I want to stay ko3 as it is daily driven but also would like to get the most power out of it.

I did get a stage 1 tune before the intake and exhaust, do I need a retune or something ?

I've seen vid of how to install a boost gauge, looks easy apart from the wiring which I have little to no knowledge about.

I think you will find that a stage 1 tune would be pushing the k03 to its limits.

You will notice a fair difference with the down pipe install, staying with stage 1 tune.

If you want a complete custom tune on the AGU, its going to cost you a small fortune.

What's a stage 2 tune worth? $600? I would suggest saving your money if your going to retain the k03.

    stage 2-$800
k03s BW new-1300-s.hand-200/800 depending on condition
    labour on fitting-diy-0.shop-500-1000
    dump-2-400
    tip-100-200
    dv-50-200
    bosch 4 bar fpr-100
    boost guage-50-200

with all the extra power comes everything else that doesnt withstand it
    =moneypit

agu custom tune-me7.3+fitting+tune2-3k=tunable ecu not limited to flashs-which the stage 2 CC is very good I mite add!

im sure gavin would happily pump a 20min .flash slot down in his busy schedule to provide this service to anyone still!

Pay attention to this comment. This is the problem I'm in right now. If things don't level off after I replace this next round off parts, I think I'll just set fire to it.
