Under partial acceleration (1/2 or 3/4 pedal push) or wot I have no problems. So to get home I was driving up to 120kmh and letting the car slow down to 110. Sigh.
My car does the exact same thing, ive never been able to figure it out.
A while ago it completely stopped firing on cyl 1, by chance i was fiddling around with the harness around the maf and like magic cyl one came back to life....? Ever since then it has seemed much more sluggish at low rpm and the light throttle stutter has gotten worse. I have a dirty feeling there is an intermittant fault in the harness some where causing it. I was thinking of replacing the maf, but like you said, i dont want to sink cash into it until i'm sure i know what is wrong...
I tried running with the maf unplugged, but it drives basically the same, although the idle isnt quite as consistant...

I've checked all the basics like plugs/filters/leaks etc, but couldnt find any thing wrong, dont have a cable so havnt taken any logs or anything - if anyone has a cable in newcastle they can lend me, let me know!

Solved: Jmac installed a new throttle body and no more shuddering/misfiring etc. Drove the car on highway and cruise works 100%. What a journey this problem has been.

Ecu thought it was WOT ( wide open throttle) at part throttle. Could smell the mixture with the window down, that's not how it was diagnosed though live values revealed the length of injector pulse width. Flooding itself bigtime. Its not just a throttle butterfly with a cable. Far from it

Surely you didn't need an entire new throttle body? Did you just replace the throttle position sensor?

The sensor is incorporated into the TB. I don't think you can replace separately.
