the 1.6L has a very slow coolant leak.. anyway I can test where its leaking? Or know of the main offending parts that cause the leaking?

    Thanks.

What car is it?? 1.6L ... Im guessing MK4 golf?

check the side of the cylinder head above the gearbox, that flange is a known leak... radiator a possible small weep from the bottom left hand corner...VDUB...

Sorry VDUB for not being clear. It is indeed a 1.6L VW Golf GL.

The ole flange leak... I haven't had a chance to look at the engine.. does it look similar to this?

Image shows a few things which may or may not be applicable, but it appears you can only order the flange as a complete assembly.

    06A121111 for manual.
    06A121111A for auto.

I'm heading down to Canberra on Friday. I can bring one with me, if you like. Shoot me a PM if you're interested, and we can go from there.
