    02 gti servicing

Hi folks.Due to financial constraints I have been doing my own servicing of late.Just doing the standard oil and filters etc every 6 months
Do our cars have a fuel filter?? and if so is it a replaceable item.
Also will it be detrimental not having the ability to log (VAG) the car or should she run fine with the basic service.
Also does anyone know the gearbox oil service schedule?
Obviously will keep an eye on other items such as water pump / belts etc butjust trying to save a little.
    Any help or comments appreciated.
    Trent.
Also car does tend to blow a bit of smoke if I give it the boot of late??

Oil service all 15 000 km or after one year, what ever comes first
+Pollenfilter, Brakefluid all 30 000 km or after two years
    +Airfilter all 45 000 km
    +Spark plugs, fuelfilter all 60 000 km

fuelfilter should be beside fueltank from underneath.

Dont risk it, car is over 9 years old with likely 150000+ k's on it. Do yourself a favor and change the fluid, lifetime is only the manufacturers warrenty plus a little.

I am not a turbo buff but my guess for a little smoke under load would be valve guides maybe? I am sure others could give a much more qualified answer
