Hi everyone, newbie Andy P trying my luck here.
I had 46 views of my newbie post, but no contacts or messages.
Does anyone here know anything about how someone, without a pocket full of cash, can turn off the airbag dash light?
All scan tools I have borrowed or hired do not register, or don't have the download upgrade ability(? I think that's how you say it), or the correct plug.
The net has heaps of info and videos of other makes and models and how to turn off their air bag lights, but I cannot seem to find anything for the '00 Bora.
I do only have my phone to search with though.
VIN: WVW2221W348613 for anyone who has time to help.
Thank you in advance;
Andy P

If there's a fault in the system, you need to rectify it before you can clear the light.
If there's no communication with the diagnostic tool, try unplugging the radio, if it's a non-VW one.
Some of the handheld scan tools can also reset fault codes which will turn the light off - do you know what caused the light to come on in the first place? Has there been work done which involved removing the steering wheel or the airbag wiring?
