    NOT ME :roll:

    There was one for sale in Unique Cars mag some months back, with QLD rego. It was a VR6 for $18,000 IIRC, but I called up and it had a slushbox. Conversation ended very quickly upon hearing that.

    So yes, there is another one around. I'll try and find the issue with the ad.

    Slush box ?
    Not an overly hard job to convert to manual if one loved Corrados enough but alas I don't

    Well, I'd certainly be happy to pay $15k+ for a decent Corrado VR6. It depends on where in the UK you look but I've seen decent looking ones for anything between £3k - £7.5k+!!

    But yes, unless you get enough people prepared to put down hard cash for it and commit via contracts, etc... I'm not surprised that there's been no-one to date prepared to import them, etc...

    Anyone over there know of a garage that would be up for this?? If so, add my name to the list please!!

    True. Quite a bit more i would say, as i'm thinking of selling mine i've gone over the cash that i've spent
    First i had/wanted to find a good one with low mileage, mine had 1 owner from new and 43000 miles on the clock,

    5000 pounds
    Its a G60 so the first thing to do is have the Supercharger re-built and a service,
    700 pounds
    Then i put Stainless Steel Coilovers on, and replaced bushes top mounts etc and had 4 wheel alignment, geometry set up etc,
    1000 pounds
    Then i had to have set of those 16" BBS RS which are very hard to come by and had to come from Germany,
    1000 pounds
    Then i shipped it to Australia in a sole use container,
    1500 pounds
    Then i had to pay all the customs, quarantine valueation and GST etc etc,
    $3700
    Then compliance, child seat restraints and the underside rustproofed,
    $1387
    Then Rego, cost of euro plates and more Taxes/GST,
    $712

    So 5000 = $12207 (if you can find one in that condition)
    700 = $1709
    1000 = $2441
    1000 = $2441
    1500 = $3662
    $3700
    $1387
    $ 712

    = $28,259
    And obviously i've spent more than that on servicing/replacing parts etc
    And if you're an Australian going to the UK to get one you'd have to pay airfares, cost of moving house probably !! No wonder nobody has one over here !!
    So what would you be asking for it if it was yours and you had to sell it ??

    You are crazy to be saying how cheap they are in the UK and not bringing one with you. Buy one, pack it at a relatives house and in a years time, have it on the boat.
