wheel
ive got a source to get them at cost but they were still weighing in at 80 gbp's currently running a mad max spec sump of death thats standing up well....basically the second steel sump that smashed the oil pump hammered out to accomodate the .:R pump then 'strengthened by a stitched on 6mm steel plate and a durty grate bit of 1" angle iron stitched alog the front....
recent work...
was a very busy week......
moar work got did
****ety****shearedbolt caused a mare of a time
seems head gasket was probable cause for og radiator fail
stuffss been done otherwise including the local kids taking a sharp object along the passenger side off the freshly painted car,the fuel feed line springing leaks from either end thatve cost me a half tank of gas and any and every little thing igniting my nipples

wheel
then corrado decided to drop its engine on the ground............
drivers side bumper bolts came loose by some combination of errors and fell out basically so that side of the cross member was only being held up by an m6 bolt or whatever the **** it is with a 13mm head which also eventually came out depositing the sump literally on the ground.
Id just got the day off for tomorrow sanctioned and was heading from work to the nearest jetwash when the poo literally went down
Stephen(my brother)came to the rescue, left the pictures and brung down the trolley jack.Banged a widow maker under the sill.Lifted it up enough to get the trolley jack under the front on the cross member, ghettoed the cross member back on and should possibly be back on track for still taking mine tomorrow now

Hope it takes a turn for the better mate. Looking good as always.
by the way, sump in Australia is something like $600. I'd be happy to pay $160Aus for them!

Have always loved these! hot car..
R36 Twin Turbo Golf 650hp 0-100 3.1sec 11.106@125mph.
If I baby it about a lot with the heaters on full bung I can run it about almost like normal but its a major pain. Managed to ghetto it all together and get it too the car show albeit on the bentleys(no pics yet though)but yeah after over 3 dozen mk1's and 2's this constantly surprises me with its reliability....
if reliability is the ability to rely on at least one breakdown per journey....
golfman are you talking about steel or alloy sumps?
alloy sumps matey

thats almost 400 gbp I know when I got that one from my mate it was cheaper than it shouldve been but theyre only normally 115gbp. No idea why it costs so much over there....I reckon I could ship one for less than 285 pounds
