Given the DPF costs a cool $4500, and is considered CONSUMABLE by VW, I'd get to the dealer and have them pull the error codes that will be recorded. They will replace whatever is at fault, and you want the DPF to be regenning as it should, you don't want any less than the 150k they are supposed to last. If it is the pressure sensor Miro speaks of, you will most likely need VW to calibrate it, I've replaced mine and tried to recalibrate it with Vag Com, but it is doing weird regens still, and it's driving me nuts.
