Where to find plastic seat clamping strap for a 2010 Multivan

You know that little thing that stops your seat belt clasp from falling to the floor?

Part No 321 857 720

Plenty available over seas but I can't seem to see anywhere in Australia that lists them for sale. Any ideas where I could find one? I have sent a request to the dealer too and am waiting for a reply, just looking to see if there are alternatives in case they come back empty handed.

The part you could use is called a Durable Dot fastner same as used in boat upholstery covers and lots of leather jackets pants and many other uses . Most motor Trimmers would have a hand held clamp tool to fit one in place . They are chrome so just remember that bit but it will do the job . All you have to do is work out the lowest position you would allow the buckle to drop and fit the fastner in there , ok it wont be adjustable but it might be an easier solution .

I’m not entirely comfortable punching a hole in the belt if I can avoid it, although I do note there are ones that are smaller and do less damage than others.
If you already had a hole I’d be happier to thread a new one into an existing hole.

One of the dealers I emailed responded saying they are $11 each and seem to be readily available.

Ive also been contacted by another member who has a few spares who is helping me out

When we used to punch holes in seat belts we would use the thin tip of a soldering iron that way there is no risk as the nylon material will fuse together .
