Where to buy T-moulding edging for camper conversion

Hi All,

I am looking to go the DIY route and make my own custom cabinets as part of my conversion.

I am aiming for a similar result to these DIY kits available in the UK Campervan Flat pack furniture units | VW T5 transporter | Rib beds seats | kitchen units | EVO Design


For materials I am considering either 16mm Formica MR MDF panels (~$92 per 2400x1200x16 panel) or the more expensive lightweight laminated ply (~$200 per 2400x1200x16 sheet)
I have been told that the plywood is actually a 15mm thick board with laminate on top that ends up being 16.2mm thick.


What I seem to be struggling with is finding 16mm T-moulding knock on edging.
I can see a number of UK ebay sellers selling 15mm 'knock on T-Trim' but I am not sure if this would be suitable.


I have attached a close up pic from the evomotiondesign video showing the edging I'm looking for.


Could anyone recommend a supplier who can provide this edging? Has anyone else achieved the desired result?

If you go for that edging then don't get MDF. Even our plywood can be desperately heavy compared to Euro timber plys of similar thickness. So be careful with that.

Personally I'd check out anywhere that supplies caravan and motorhome furnishing. There's more than a few...
