    VW T5 Steering wheel wrap

Just completed a nice leather wrap for my T5 multivan

The wheel was in ordinary condition so got the wrap off eBay for $15 and stitched it on. No doubt it’s gonna become loose in sections but I’ll eventually re do it as this time was a real learning experience doing it in the dark

Slowly doing some DIY cosmetic things to the van and am planning on sending it in to fix the headlining at some point as it’s starting to get worse :/
If anyone’s had experience with a Melbourne company let me know
    Cheers

Nice work on the wheel , as a motor trimmer myself{retired so don,t ask } I can say after having covered dozens and dozens of wheels you have done a nice job . I actually made a triangular frame with a bolt at the top , I used to bring the wheels home with me and sit the frame on my lap while watching tv . Having the frame made it much easier to do them and we had no templates each wheel was a custom cut and fit , at one time I had a Ford ute that I did a full custom interior in the Benneton F1 racing colors so the wheel was made up of six different leather colours all hand stiched together . As for your roof trim I have a good friend in Tullamarine who could help , Chris at Auto Comfort

Cheers! Certainly not like re-doing the wheel properly but quite amazed by the finish, better than those supercheap ones that makes your wheel giant ha

That would be nice to do, custom fit the little details and use multiple materials, you must’ve had a lot of patience

Thanks for the recommendation I’ll give Chris a call at some point over the next few weeks, his work looks pretty nice!

    Great job!
I did mine a couple of years ago with a custom leather cover.
A lot more difficult doing the arms... but very happy with the finish and how well mine has lasted.
