No Logicpr0be! Moral is to not buy a 2011 VW Transporter with the wrong suffixed egr cooler. More info can be looked for using the facebook page

VW T5.1 / T6 EXCESSIVE OIL USE FOR CFCA 2.0....

Sounds like theres a few of us 2nd hand buyers who are getting this fixed OUT OF WARRANTY and under goodwill! This is great news...please write in this post if you have had similar success and how you went about it...cause it is so stressful finding a way around the issue!!

Simply did oil consumption test through dealer, a engine compression test, replaced a leaking rocker cover gasket, tpi concluded engine replacement, asked dealer to request goodwill from vw, result vw covering parts and I the labor

Facebook group, here you will find details on how to determine if you have the EGR COOLER which corrodes and destroys piston rings and allows the high oil consumption

Hi it is great to read your post.

I had oil issues from when I bought my T5 transporter x nsw ambulance at 55,000km. Took two years of being mucked about by Poysner Motors Bendigo and thousands of dollars despite them mentioning on day one that they had an internal memo for this very issue.

I finally tried another dealer, VW ballart in Victoria who were fantastic. VW paid for new engine and labour.

However VW Bendigo were so bad I’m taking them to VCAT in 3 July 2019 to get the $5500 that they wasted back. (That’s just for one service at 100,000 which they said would help! not including other costs, trips and time spent!)

There are VW internal memos for this issue TPI which I have the number of at home. It’s specifically for t5 I’m trying to find a copy for the VCAT hearing and any other stories that validate it from forums etc. So that there is evidence that the judge knows this is a known issue and faulty vehicle!!!

If anyone has info ASAP it would be appreciated

Your engine number should be on your registration paper work.
