    Transporter what do you reckon regarding thicker oil ?

    Is there anyone who has had issues with “D” EGR ?

    Anyone with 2-300,000 + kms on a 132kw ?

    Anyone with issues after blanking EGR ?

    I’m at 175K on biturbo 2010 T5.
    Oil loss started at 140K. 1 litre or thereabouts per 1000km.
    Mapped and blanked at 145K.
    Still loses oil, but is quicker, and sounds more throaty, and can hear turbo better.
    Only issue I have is engine fault light comes on generally in the mornings when cold - EGR temp sensor fault. I just reset with VCDS, then all good.

    Does speed affect your oil consumption hoddy?

    Impossible to tell really., given I do a mix of city / freeway k’s.

    No, no coolant loss at all.
    Blows some smoke on heavy acceleration from lights.

    Am thinking about replacing the engine, but it’s still going strong.

    I think the oil cooler is going on mine hence coolant loss. Took it to the mechanic down the road and said I was losing oil from the rocker and the coolant from the oil cooler.

    Somehow don't believe him when it smokes off take-off. Thought it could be a busted turbo seal but not sure how to check.

    So i just got my oil test results back. 50ppm aluminium 111ppm iron. This is on a cfca 180hp biturbo with 200000km though new head at 160000km. Not using oil, though will check again tonight, and no smoke. My question, as posted on the facebook group, am i too late to replace with a d suffix egr cooler, or should i just save my pennies for inevitable engine replacement? Second question, any leads on a d suffix egr cooler that is cheaper than what vw wants? Possible i could find on a wreck - though would they seperate from the engine?

    im not sure, if this helps, but these are my oil test results from a new motor for a reference

    First Oil change at 1750km Alum 16 (ppm) Iron 29 (ppm)
    Second Oil Change at 5721km Alum 20 (ppm) Iron 30 (ppm)
    2017 VW T6 3200KG GVM LWB 132kW 7 Speed DSG (Campervan Conversion)
