    VW Badge Spray

    Hi there

Can’t help but notice lately a lot of transporters driving around with sprayed black VW badges on the front / rear or both .
The badge usually being metallic silver and sprayed black

Just wondering if anyone here has delved into doing it and what the process around it is and if it’s relatively easy?

    Cheers

They could be deliberately covering up the badge in shame LOL

It just as if they have covered everything and painted it black to match the front grill colour - and the back I’ve seen occasionally - the front looks quite good. Just wondering if it’s a tricky process as I would be pretty nervous to spray it myself!

    Pic I could find

Looks as if they are sold as black and potentially removeable

I got my front one from van style out of the UK.
Then I taped up the rear one and plasti dipped it and the rear letters. Next time I will use Vaseline and a paint brush to get into the corners better and make clean up easier.

I'm with you Logicprobe , don't see the point as I love a bit of chrome up front as well Also I don't trust that Plasti Dip as my son did the wheels on his Motor Bike and the stuff came off pretty easily and it looked pretty crappy then we had to strip them back to chrome again .
