For some reason my 6.49pm reply has gone missing when I subsequently edited it to fix a typo I could not find instructions to contact the moderator to get it back? Scott

I’ve restored your deleted post. Could the reason why it went missing be that you’ve pressed “delete” instead save?

Thanks Transporter, I was looking for the edit button and must have inadvertently deleted. Any way, thanks again. Scott.

Update: After 6+ weeks of experiencing this engine vibration it disappeared yesterday just as mysteriously as it appeared. I'm happy, but perplexed.

Could it be just a bad quality diesel?

Well, the tank was checked, filter replaced and was almost at the end of the 3rd fill since the problem arose and I don't always buy from the same servo, so I'd be surprised. But I had put a couple of bottles of injector cleaner in the first 2 tank fills so maybe that had something to do with it.

I use it every time when I fill up. The right fuel additive (injector/fuel system cleaner) increases reliability, maintains good fuel economy. I also buy only BP Premium diesel.

I thought the whole thing about about premium diesel (which I use too) was that it contained the detergents already?
On my T5, I am nearing 500K and have had no problems regarding the fuel system.

It’s good then. You probably drive under ideal conditions, always refuel at the good servos.
