I wonder how many people reading this forum can remember 1978 when the Bay window Commercial & Microbus were being sold new. I came across a sales brochure that stated 51kW [70DIN bhp] at 4200rpm. Max Torque 143Nm at 2800rpm.
NSW & VIC models Output 50kW [68DIN bhp] at 4200rpm. Max Torque
137Nm at 3000rpm.
As many of these vans would have made there way interstate over the years it would be interesting if there is any quick way of identifying these engines.
