    Van racking t5

Anyone have or know where I can get some racking for my t5 lwb? I built it for my last van but couldn't be bothered for this one. Bunnings has a van system but it's not that good and adds up pretty quick too.
I'm a mobile mechanic so need a lot of shelving etc

Why don't you use just tool chests? Better than racking and easier to live with. I'll post some pictures later, when I clean my van up. I'm just furnishing my new van and use very similar setup what I had for last 10 years.

Hmm I'm intrigued haha. I'll need a few shelves for oil and things but a lot could fit in tool boxes I guess

Just ignore the mess, it's the busiest time of the year for me.

Don't get too concerned on how the van looks mine gets the same sometimes , then I get the S&**ts and rip the insides out and reset everything along with massive clean up . Some days when its been a stinker the last thing you are thinking about is putting everything back in its place , then it seems to get progressively cluttered and I start all over again .

I grabbed some carpet underlay and marine carpet and payed it out on the floor to begin with. Looking good so far. I have two snap on tool box's to go in and I purchased some racking from bunnings that I'm going to try out shortly.

Here is how mine looked when it came back from panel shop after it ran away from home last year you can see the new interior but it does not show the racking /subwoofers/ tool box and compressor only the sides and floor with tubes for templates up in the roof .Can Friday get any worse ?

I started out with an ex-telco Caddy fit-out in my T5.

Pulled the cable spool racks and a few other things out, juggled around some shelves and drawers, then threw a top chest on the bench.

Seems to work ok for me. The biggest thing is distributing the weight around, and organising everything so that you can work efficiently. Also, keeping bulky heavy things secure as well.

I'll try to remember to post up some pics of the general layout when I get the chance. It's probably 95% right, but I don't think it'll ever be perfect, even though it took about a week to get most of it where I wanted. After a few months of working with it, I re-organised a few things, and it was better again. Have run the same basic arrangement for 18 months now.
