    Upgrades for T6 Headlight Bulbs?

Just wondering what fellow Multivan owners have done (if you have) in regards to headlight bulb upgrades.

I've just upgraded the front side light T20 bulbs to cool white LED bulbs ($12 for a pair- eBay). I'll be honest- purely did it for aesthetics to give it a more modern look and am stoked with the result!

I'm now looking at upgrading the two H7 bulbs and the T10 bulb on each side.

I'll probably end up going with the T10 version of the LEDs I've already purchased but am not sure on what to do with the H7s.

Has anyone had any positive results with the H7 LED kits? I'm not interested in blinding other motorists and I'm limited to about a $100 budget. I'd prefer LED purely because they're more efficient but am not sure on the heat dissapation in the cramped space!

Any suggestions or experiences greatly appreciated.

I have h4's in my transporter and have just bought some led replacements. Am yet to fit but by looking at it, it won't be as straight forward as I thought. As the led housings are bigger i assume I'm going to have to modify a few things to make them fit. Will keep you posted if you like

For those with H4 headlights, I bought the package (in the link 2 posts down) and I'm super impressed with it. The 6000k light out put is a huge difference over the yellow std H4 55W/60 globes and they actually light up the road ahead very well.
I've also fitted the ones (in the link 2 posts down) "CANbus/Error free LED DRL globes which complete my elimination of yellow lighting throughout the van.
The H4 package was local and arrived very quickly, the LED DRL globes took over a month from China.

For T6 owners shop around for H7 as there are plenty of options out there.

I've put some LED H7's in the Octavia, and unfortunately, they get hot.
The heat threshold for throttling on my particular kit is 80^C and they reach that relatively quickly. "Only" 30W LED's, too! ...
Maybe try some 25W kits and the more money you spend, the better... Good luck, and keep us posted.

Can you please repost those links please? Appears the links aren't active to the items anymore...

    Thanks again.

Just a heads up that the light output of a 5300K light is more than the 6000k

Also this rather long article describes it perfectly

Ok let me re-phrase it, I enjoy the pretty white output of the 6000k light bulbs over the standard yellow colour bulbs.

    Cheers for the info Hillbilly.

I just ordered new Phillips 130+ H4 for my T6, from Powerbulb, have a look on eBay, or Powerbulb in the UK.

Supercheap is selling them for $109 or if you don't mind waiting a few days or a week, then eBay or Powerbulb for about $40 delivered.

Now i just have get the Canbus error free interior bulbs, the lighting in the the van is no better than the 80's.

I'll have to get around to fitting a LED lightbar, i fitted one on my tractor for when i launched the boat in the dark, stupidly bright but bloody handy.
