    That silicone tape is fantastic stuff, I have used it quite a few times on leaking vac lines and it lasts years.

    I haven't used it for this sort of repair before, but it is fantastic stuff. I think it'd be a good shot term fix. The best thing is it's flexibility and how it fuses to itself and you can wrap it tight.

    Got the part........only one in Australia!.....(they said)

    Straight forward removal and installation...........cleaned everything up and only used water for installation as instructed.

    Couldn't see where the major leak was coming from...........

    ...until I pressed the side in.

    So, it has failed at the metal join and was probably under stress even though it is a movable joint.

    A $250 part and an hour and a half and all's well again.
