interesting, makes you want to pack up and go...............anywhere![]()
I came accross this website and thought some of you would like to have a look.
Some of you have been on long trips but not quite as long as this, and yours are in one country with one currency.

I found it very interesting.

Yes, very interesting. I like reading about other peoples experiences but often not sharing them. I would have given Chernobyl a very wide berth for obvious reasons. It seems the authorities in Uzbekistan are even worse than some of our government depts. I for one wouldn't be able to put up with their crap, it would mess up my holiday.
Understand how it works, troubleshoot logically BEFORE replacing parts.

Thanks for the great links.
My wife and I are taking our 2006 kombi beach on a trip in about a fortnight from Brisbane to Lark Quarry and Winton in the dinosaur country region of central queensland. We will be stopping for two nights in Carnarvon Gorge, Porcupine Gorge and cannia Gorge as well and the trip should be about 3000km.
When I return I will have many photos and will post a link here of the kombi in action and the places we visit. We have been planning this one for nearly a year, and have been building up the time and distance of our trips and refining the equipment in the kombi after each trip.
We are counting down the days and only have another 5 days to work.
