Transporter meeting place ?
Just spent a week up at Noosa , without fail there has to be more T5,s in this one area than any where else . On any day if you go to the beach or into the National Park for a surf there would always be 4 or 5 at a time in the place . Reminds me of the good old days in the 60,s and 70,s when the Kombi,s ruled the beach culture . Or maybe its the same Kombi guys who have grown up like me and still like to be a beach bum ???? {admits here that in my younger surfing days I had a Valiant V8 318 cubic inch Surfari Wagon as my preferred transport to the beach } Howard . PS . Oh now its back to reality start work Friday again .

Glad someone other than me has found the T5 to be a great surf wagon. I go surfing most days here in Tassie and have only ever seen one other at the beach in the 3 years I've owned it. Amazing how many people though come up to me and say they're going to buy one, what's it like on fuel etc etc, They also like my camper conversion that converts my pseudo crewvan into a very comfy bed with plenty of storage under in seconds See it here at [URL="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0NIXVgzEPjI"] I too didn't own a Kombi back in my youth, much preferring a 308 V8 powered HQ Holden Van, or before that a 307 V8 powered HK Holden Van equipped with two speed Auto Transmission. The T5 is far more practical than either van and probably just as powerful and much more fun.

While I don,t sleep in the back of our van [enough money these days to stay somewhere near the beach in comfort ] many of the ones seen were being used that way tailgates open and towels and bedding throughout . There are obviously richer surfies nowdays !!! .Howard
