Are Touareg wheels safe on a Transporter?

    Hey all,
I've been looking around for some second hand genuine VW wheels for my T5 transporter and have come across some nice 17" alloys off a 2011-2012 touareg.
My local VW dealer claims there is no way to really tell if they are load rated or not, but most likely are. Obviously I need to confirm if they are or not as its a serious safety issue if not.
I have images of the stamps on the back of the wheels.
Can anyone shed some light on this issue for me please?
    Thanks all!

PCD is wrong. R5 touareg is same as T5 which is 5 x 120. Other touaregs are same as Porsche, which is 5 x 130.

Thanks for the response njg02. Sorry but I don't understand PCD. The seller tells me the wheel stud offset is 5x120 which I understood as matching my T5. Is this not correct?

    Thanks transporter.
Your link confirms that transporter wheels are PCD 5x120 as are the touareg wheels I'm looking at.
Is there any information about the load rating of such wheels that you have seen?
    Thanks!

On Touareg2, it's casted on the wheel, visible only when the wheel is off. If the wheel you looking at is the OEM on R5 Touareg, then they should be safe to use on the T5.

I think the wheels on the new Touareg (7P5) have a pitch circle diameter (PCD) of 130 mm.

As others have pointed out, the wheels for a Transporter have a PCD of 120 mm.

What are the part numbers (should be 9 to 11 characters long) for the wheels you currently have, and the wheels you are intending to buy?

I'm sure the R5 Touareg (Touareg) are the same as on T5. The Touareg2 won't fit.

    Yeah, that's what I'm thinking.

OP mentions wheels off a "2011-2012 Touareg" - which is the new model.

Anyway, the part numbers should tell all.
