Tingly fingers after freeway driving? T5 TDI

i have noticed recently that i get a pins and needles tingly type sensation in my fingers and hands, particularly when driving long straight stretches(ie where you aren't turning the wheel too much)for anything over an hour or so.
Must be vibes from the diesel, coming through the steering wheel,is all i can think of.
    Anyone else get similar?

Yeah, I get those, but it's from chemotherapy, not driving my Multivan. I found that I can hold the wheel a lot lighter on straight roads. The arm rest also helps a lot.

I think it's the Radiotherapy that does it ... rather than the Chemo. Mind you ... a lot of my radiotherapy was very close to my spinal cord.

Any pins and needle tingly snesation is usually due to nerves being compressed if this happens move your arms around.

10/10 for this comment. Couldn't have hit the nail on the head better.

If you get that sensation it's your body telling you to move. If you ignore it you can kill off the nerve. Happened to a mate of mine - he then couldn't lift his foot for 6 months (acute foot drop i think they called it).

I get parathesia all the time after a big night - could that be MS also? I'm also easily distracted and often forget things. Sometimes my left eye twitches.

Could it be possible I have had multiple strokes enduced by my un-diagnosed ADD but forgot all about them untill now because of my oldtimers?

How tightly do you grip the wheel when you're driving? It could be something simple as just relaxing your grip and/or just moving around a bit and getting some blood flow back to your arms. Some simple flexing of the arms above your head while your driving (one arm at a time of course ) should get it going.
I like to sit on my leg at work sometimes and that gives me pins and needles. I wouldn't be too worried unless you've got other symptoms occurring as well like tunnel vision, light headedness or other things. As others have said if you're really concerned see your GP.
