Time to replace my 4Motion Multivan but should I wait for the T6?

    Hi

I've got my 2006 4Motion up for sale and I wondered, should I get the last run of the T5 or wait for the T6?
if the T6 is loaded with new technologies like the new Passat then I think I'd play it sale and head for a current model.
Do I really need lane change assist and parking assist and stop start and coasting?

    My opinion.....Wait for the T6.

I don't understand the coasting function. We have it in our Tiguan. When it is activated, and I have cruise control set, I find than when coasting down a hill you are going way over the speed limit. When it is not activated and in the same situation, the transmission drops down some gears to keep you close to the speed set on the cruise control. In this situation the fuel consumption is 0.0l/100km.
When it is activated, your vehicle is in neutral and therefore using the 0.8l/100km or whatever the figure is at idle.
So, what is the advantage of the coasting function?

I'd wait. You may regret, if you buy now.

I'm waiting because Vito comes first with potentially AWD, RWD and FWD options and T6 comes here later in the year.

Unless you can get a truly spectacular run out deal on a T5.2 (highly unlikely) then I'd wait....cause if you get one now then the depreciation when the T6 fronts up will be awe inspiring instead of merely eyewatering.

I'm still waiting for Ford to locally release the new Transit Dual Cab. Not interested in the Vito cause it has no dual cab option...
