    Thermal blinds multivan

    Hi
I bought a set of thermal blinds from just kampers last year and have ever since been battling with the suckers included and trying to keep the blinds to stay at night without falling off from window. Have even tried some different bathroom suckers and they still fall out halfway through the night. Does anyone have any better ideas or tips on this?
    Mine is a multivan t6.

Also, the thermo mats are larger than the actual windows which actually contributes to making it harder for them to stay put on the windows.

Any tips are appreciated as it is very frustrating.
    Cheers

    Hi Tiago

Yes that would be frustrating. Our Thermomats are the French manufactured 9-layer units and also use suction cups.

In my experience they work well so long as i have moistened the cups reasonably well first, and the applied to a reasonably clean interior window surface.

These French ones in my experience seem to be perfectly fitted to all 8 window apertures so I have not suffered from any type of ill-fitment causing it to dislodge.

There is a difference for the large front window mat for T5 and T6 so important to have that right (T6 interior rear view mirror housing is larger, so the Thermomat cut out is larger - see T5 and T6 below)

    And T6 mirror surround

Thanks mate, what about the side doors where the Window is split? The one I have seems like it was made for a full Window, not the split Window type with the column in the middle.
Have you got photos of yours fully installed? Interested in seeing the fit and size related to the windows.
    Cheers

Also, someone mentioned that the insulfilm tint layer could impact the effectiveness of the suckers. Any truth to this? Anyone has issues with tint and suckers?

    Hi Tiago

These versions comfortably fit around the centre piece where the window sliding actuator is located.

You will notice that the suction cup layout is asymmetric to avoid the cups landing on the centre divider

Regarding tinting I do not think it makes a difference at all so long as surface is flat and clean. If tint is poorly applied with 'bubbles' then the auction cups may not operate as intended as it cannot achieve a clean 'seal'
