Is there a market for a T3 caravelle?

We have decided to change cars and sell the T3 Caravelle GL. I have put an ad in the For Sale section, but am unsure what market there is for these.
The caravelle runs beautifully. It has been a fantastic lifestyle vehicle with lots of trips, camping, transporting friends and family etc.
Do folk still look for this type of vehicle?

    I'm sure they do.

In fact, now that fuel is more expensive, sleeping in your own vehicle is cheaper than having a very fuel economic car and staying in a tourist park.

I know, because I did the sums between the T4 and the Polo from Adelaide to Sydney and staying a week. The T4 won easily despite the fact that it used much more fuel.

Now that I've seen the pics, it's a Caravelle and you can't sleep in it, unless you're 3'8"!

However, these vehicles are still very popular.

A "FOR SALE" sign at the DOVW in late November should see you exchange the T3 for cash.

Actually, we did sleep in it last holidays.
We were camping at Cape Otway, enjoying the sound of heavy rain on the tent when a quick calculation determined that the ten year water-proofing service on the tent had been done eleven years ago and the realisation that moisture wasn't only in the air but coming down on our bed.
Fortunately we had removed the middle seat from the Caravelle in case we needed to sleep in it over the holidays. A quick dash from the tent with double lilo in hand, thrown down on the kombi floor, quick slam of the sliding door, and nice and warm and dry we were - thank goodness we are genetically engineered for such confines- a little bended knee and regular rolling was all that was needed.
The middle seat is a sinch to remove.
In earlier days we used to remove the seat back from the rear row - a straight forward job that freed up full stretch sleeping space.

Which is why these vehicles will always be so popular.

I have dreamed up some beaut bolt-in camper conversions, but never got round to actually doing it.

My partner is moving to an 01 Passat Variant 1.8T.
I said that all she needs is a hatchback but she reckons it would be too difficult to go from the space of the Caravelle to a small car; so the Passat Variant is the next step down.
Won't have the go anywhere capabilities of the Caravelle, but its a nice car, and we should be able to carry a couple of bikes or go camping with lots of clobber.
    My question continues though.
