This seems to confirm what they said before, that T6 is an overhall of the existing platform, with an all new platform arriving toward the end of the decade.

As we can see, the bodyshell and windows are very much the same between T5 and T6, but interior and face are new.

Could this be just running a concept based on a current platform , it seems to be a bit shorter than a van's wheel base for starters . I guess it may be a "Space Cab "as there are no back seats . But then photos can be misleading , but nice to see some new interior changes to dash and seats plus front end changes . Not sure I would want a bloody great towing hook hanging out my front grill though !!

The lease on my current T5GP is just about up so if this comes out in the next 12 months that could work very nicely for me

I'm still undecided if we look at a Passat wagon or a Tiguan 4Motion instead... but I know I won't be buying another Multivan until they release a new model.

Its probably the last gasp update as it seems that VW will string out a commercial model for a lot longer than car models . T4 went for 13 years before the T5 came out so you would expect at least another 3 years before a complete change of body etc .

If it can still hit EuroNCAP 5 star ratings, they'll keep using the existing platform.

The concept looks pretty cool though

    Now this sounds interesting:

    2,0 l TDI 150 kW @4000rpm and 450 Nm @ 1400, 7-speed DSG

Yeah, it does, but I would expect better 0-100 time than 10s.

It's the built in espresso machine that slows it down...(and no I'm not joking)

Lol, you reminded my of when I took delivery of our G6ET back in 2008, it could do it in high 5 secs and then getting back into my T5 felt like the world went in slow motion. Just looked up the old brochure for the T5/128kW and it states 0-100Km/hr @12.3(auto) and 12.2secs (manual) and 4motion 12.5 (manual) so I'd be happy with 10's but like you would never say no to more performance.
