    hi Kamold
i took the BCM from the wreck and it is7E0937090B
can i plug this into my 2010 van
do i need to code it given that already swapped:cluster, ignition, headlights, steering wheel,ECU,engine
is there a link to coding as i cant find anything on my level LOL

thanks for help....not quite ready to give up just yet

I'm not sure if it is a suitable replacement...supersession of the 7H0937087 part only goes as far as 7H0937087P.
But there is no harm in taking a copy of your current BCM coding and also make an adaptation channel map, then swap in the T6 BCM.

I wouldn't just copy the T5 BCM coding string to the T6 BCM, as they might well be completely different. But start with just testing it without making any changes to the T6 BCM coding, then if things aren't working properly you'll need to start checking through the coding bytes and their descriptions in VCDS to try and match the config as closely as possible to your car's configuration.
Take particular note of the installation list as the BCM also acts as the canbus gateway in PQ25 platform cars.

There is no security system associated with the BCM, but it does control all of the car's electrics so it might be a bit of trial and error if it does work somewhat.

    oh happy days
this morning i received an unsolicited email from a chumley, and there was a link to a "how to" connect MFDS to BCM

not sure if link will work....im not puter savvy and dont know how to link to a PDF

i followed the instructions(13 pages of them)to the letter, and i now have a fully functioning MFDS
it also allows me to scroll through pages on the new cluster(the T6 cluster has lots of good things including digital speedo)
prior to this,it only showed "dist remaining"

as Kamold said,it was really quite easy, but without the coding info supplied,i would never have finished...my $60 vag lead worked a treat also(first time attempt at coding)
i also used the orig BCM and was really happy to find the 2 plugs to it are on the front(the T6 is mounted backwards and the plugs are not so easy to access)
splicing into the wire was also easier as a result
    even the horn works

will try tonight to see if wheel is lit up
thanks to everyone for their help and knowledge

this shows the easy access to the wires to the BCM
the second wire taps into the light switch

Gotta be careful of those unsolicited emails...

    Making great progress there Russ!
Not so difficult when you have a bit of info to reference.
