That's just the way they are.
I still use the high-flow nozzle regardless, if that's the bowser I end up at.
I haven't had a good look in the daylight yet but when I went to fill up last night the high flow diesel nozzle didn't fit in my new T6 Multi. We also have a 2010 X Trail and high flow nozzles fit in that fine.
Is there a restrictor in the neck of the fuel filler I can take out so that I can use high flow nozzles?

The way I heard it was if your vehicle had high flow capability, the manufacturer didn't mind if you used truck diesel whereas low flow is designed to stop you from using it.
To be fair, the design of the tank and filler neck, hasn't really changed since 2004 when they first rolled off the production line (yes, I know we're talking about a T6).

Most of those High Flow pumps have a larger diameter nozzle , primarily designed for trucks as they have a much larger filler neck and they can take the high vlume of fuel . Most cars have a standard one with a small spring loaded flap to stop fuel spilling back . I have on rare occasions used the high flow but you have to carefully fit the nozzle so it pushes fuel past the litttle flap , then you have to make sure it doesnt get restricted going in or you will end up with diesel all over you and the van .
Yeah.......whenever I have to use the hiflow pump, I never fill it up.
Too much mucking around.
That said............mine seems to run better on dirty ol' truck diesel.

Hello there, my first question(s) as a newbie.
I collected our new T6 (camper) on August 3 and have done around 2600 km so have only filled it 3 times. First fill was via a high flow nozzle and I had no issues but I've made sure since then that I use a car type bowser. I had a MK V TDI Golf for a few years but have had a petrol Renault in the interim so had forgotten about hi- flow.
But... is there actually a difference between the grade/quality/flavour of the diesel fuel from the hi-flow (truck) bowser and the small vehicle version?
If so, does it matter?

The way I understand it, if the price is the same at both pumps, it's the same product. If it's called truck diesel & it's cheaper, it's higher in sulphur.
I use BP Ultimate, its suppose to have a higher cetane rating and a cleaner diesel, i grab from my local BP near my workshop, which is in an industrial area, so diesel turn over should be good.
Does it really help, i don't really know, never had any issues using it, its the first servo leaving the workshop, so that helps.
