Could be 100 reasons why the lights are on, and yes they're linked.
I have niggling problem with my 2005 T5 2.0 petrol manual van , from time to time the TCS and ABS light comes on { no need to worry about some pesky exhaust gas engine light it has been on for 3 years now } . Now it seems to have been that way since coming back from body surgery last year . I suppose my question is where does the wiring for those two systems run could it be up in the roof of the drivers side or along the same side as they replaced the whole outer skin from the door back to the tailgate . I was trying to locate the fuses for these two as it seems they may be related using the J104 as a common link , not even sure what is the J104 ?? Fuses now there's a joke I would need a degree in ancient hieroglyphs to decipher the fuse cards . Easter seems a good time to sort out some problems with the 3 vans in our house at the moment . T4 with a loose connection causing engine oil light to flash along with tacho not working at the same time , thump the fuse box cover and the tacho comes back to life momentarily . Then there is the wife's old T5 Turbo problem , as Umai suggested some more parts to ad to the ever rising bill to get this one solved and sold . Okay just checked the book and it does seem that the ABS and TCS are working in cahoots' with each other to create mayhem for me [only kidding] So any suggestions on where to look for an answer , I am sure the ABS is still working as I fitted new pads and rotors the other weekend and after bedding them in I tested the brakes and could feel the ABS working .

I just got some body work done (dent behind sliding door and bumpers sprayed) on my 05 T5 and it has come back with the boot open light constantly on on the dash. If you find anything on the wiring diagram let me know! I can't even find the sensor for the barn doors..
