T5 windows - advice
Obviously the sliding windows leak, although one is worse than the other. The retracting blind is rust discoloured now, so time to do something about it.
Have read that one option is to have the whole window replaced with an aftermarket sliding window. Has anyone done this? I'd be looking for somewhere in melbourne.
The other option is to attempt to repair via all the differemnt youtube methods. However I don't have those skills or time.
Thanks !!

My observation of mine is that if the locking pins that are activated by the centre flaps still work and go into the holes at the top and bottom, this ensures that the window is held firmly closed and due to the slide grooves top and bottom, the glass is held against the sealing rubber, therefore minimal leaks. So if any of this is not as it should be or the rubber seal is gone, they will leak like a sieve. Why I state all this is because the mechanism for releasing the locks is made of the weakest plastic and fails in no time. So my question is, are your windows held firmly locked and flush to the outside surrounding glass ? If not, its worth fixing the original design.

Thanks brianJ. I spent a while looking at the sliding and pins. All seems flush and secure and neat. The mechanism works well.
