Not to mention the auto box is a ticking time bomb.
I don't believe we'll ever see a V6 T6. No room in the front for a V6 that has two cylinder heads. The VR6 in the T5 is a dead and buried concept now.
Saw this on carsales:2005 Volkswagen Transporter T5 Auto
This would have to be pretty rare.I knew these V6 motors are thirsty but the figures given in the specs column for the engine say 13.5L per 100km combined. If most of my driving is in the city I imagine it would be closer to 15L per 100km which is a bit on the high side.Out of curiosity I had a look at the fuel figures for a T5 V6 multivan for inner city driving and they are a staggering 18.5L per 100KM.Thats thirstier than a lot of V8's!!I'm rapidly changing my mind about a petrol V6 T6.They also only run on premium 98.

Yes it is dead and buried but we should be able to get the TSI 2.0 Turbo Petrol instead . I do not understand VW's insistence on only stocking Diesel models much less crap to go wrong in the petrol ones .
The 2L TSI has its own issues, but that's a whole other debate.
I presume your referring to the Golf engine ? still the same beast I suppose .
Same basic engine, yes.
I sort of thought thats what you meant , I still love my 2005 stock 2.0 petrol one nearly 290000 kays on the clock and still going strong . If it was feasible an aftermarket turbo might have been a good idea back when it was only near new .

Mainly the chain tensioner issue, and oil leaks from the timing covers and rear main seal.
