I have Kumho KH15 at the moment. They're quiet tyres with a good grip, but I don't see them to pass 40,000km

Anyone have any experience with Kumho KU27's?

The Kumho Solus KH15 update. I've done just over 10,000km on these tyres and they're 50% worn, I'll be lucky to get 20,000km out of them. They were rotated every 5,000km and pumped to correct pressure 51PSI (van fully loaded 100% of the time).
That's above TWI.

That's deplorable, Transporter
Must admit it's one of the reasons I decided not to go with Kumhos
When you mentioned you probably won't see much past 40,000 I checked around for the MA P1 Maxxis
Eventually found some for $215 a corner fitted
I got about 70,000 ks from the set they replaced, so I figure they were a much better deal

Yeah, but do they have the correct load rating? I didn't see that they had, so I never went and checked them out.
Edit: Just rang to Bob Jane and they don't have these Maxxis in 17". What size do you you have?
How ever I checked Maxxis website and found this, http://maxxistyres.com.au/tyredetails.php?id=4&cat=1
another to look at is Toyo for around $300 http://www.thewheeldeal.com.au/produ...oducts_id=1575 it is 103W rated

Thanks Steve, obviously BJ don't know some details of the products they're selling.

Hoddy how are you going with these Yokos? I'm up for new tyres again and am shopping around. I found this Kumho KU31 http://www.ozzytyres.com.au/store/ku...6w-ku31-1.html at $174 each they're verry tempting.

I've used KU31 before (not on the T5) and they are a good value for money tyre with plenty of grip and great in the wet, though they are on the softer side and pretty noisy. Check prices with Tempe Tyres as they are usually the cheapest and they will ship interstate.
Yoko's are going well. NB size is 235/60/17, done 43,000kms now, hopefully another 10-15 K before I need new ones.
Had some wearing on the front left shoulder, better now after alignment / rotation.
No other concerns, am very happy with this tyre.
Spare is still brand new.
