Info I had here was wrong...
Hello all after much research I have just fitted Maxxis Bravo AT-771, 225/60R17 103T , that's right ALL TERRAIN tyres to my 4motion. They are quieter than the Yoko Advan ST's I had and have a good tread depth and are great offroad. They meet all the legal requirements and at $229 pretty good pricing.
* They aren't available on the maxxis website for some reason but you can see them here https://www.jaxtyres.com.au/tyres/br...s/at-771-bravo

I just got a new set of tires, and went back to the OEM dulop sport 01s. Now I have had a wheel alignment and now it's doing my head in, my steering pulls to the left slightly. I guess it always has but my steering wheel is a lot more out of centre, and I don't like it. I did read here before somewhere about it being the make, and not designed for our roads, someone posted a link to a kit that could correct this, buggered if I can find it again.
Can anyone help me as I want this fixed before I go insane lol. My Ocd is kicking in.

2011 T5 4MOTION Duel Cab Optioned up.
G'day all. Been on here a while but have never posted anything. I bought a 2012 Transporter 4motion dual cab manual which is fully specced up last year. Only had 20000klm on the clock when I got it. Drove it from Newcastle to Paraburdoo in the Pilbara. Drove awesome except for appalling fuel economy (13ltr/100). It was riding on Toyo 235/60/17 AT tyres. As awesome as what they are for mud and snow and light dirt they are not suited to our harsh terrain here in the Pilbara and truth be told the Transporter probably isn't 100% right for our temps or terrain but I'm persevering. Yesterday I fitted some Coopers, STT MAXX 245/70/17 which are more suited to our country up here. Speedo needs adjusting and clearance has a slight inner scrape at full lock on the plastic inner guard. Heading to Perth Sat so keep you posted on how they travel. Getting the ECU tweaked again and tuned on a 4wd dyno. We have got the fuel down to 11ltr/100 so hoping for a bit more.
Adding a Pic of the new boots.
They're big tyres, do you have the gearing reduction? Bruce CQ.

I have done nothing but fit the tyres. All the research I have done and where I live doesn't require it. 1st gear is low enough for everything I do and being a manual I avoid soft sand as its all or nothing. Miss the low range for that. Why would I need a gearing reduction? The nearest town up here is 500klm away and touring is a norm up here. 10ply tyres are needed once we go off road and the size is the best combo I could come up with. All advice welcome Big Bug
Hi guys,
I have a Multivan with some Dunlop 235/55/ZR17 103W ExtraLoad.Only 15kkm on it.One at the back has a bulge on the wall.
1/ should I change both side ?
2/ what do you recommend ( for comfort& handling, any price range) ?
Thank you
Dam
How are your hankooks going this time around?
My Federal Formoza FD2 235/55/17 103w XL are done with fairly even wear.
Got them fitted at 78k from memory but my rears wore out by 95k and on 105k now and all 4 need replacing. Not sure why these wore out so quickly.
Front passenger side has now got a deformation/cupping in one spot that makes the steering wheel shake quite a lot.
Tyres are all at first wear indicators.
Thinking of going back to maxxis map1 I had when I originally got the new 17" wheels fitted or the Hankook Ra23
Maxxis $220 a corner fitted
Hankook $205 "
