T5 transporter aftermarket radio options

Im in a 2015 multivan.
Will have more of a play today with the reversing camera.
I may have another issue it will not auto start up when starting the van and you need to turn it off at the unit when you remove the key( have even set that setting to 30seconds but will not turn of even with the doors closed and locked) it only has the factory wiring fitted.

I too have been exploring options for my 2008 Multiv (satnav, rear view camera) etc. Auto Barn have Pioneer, Alpine, kenwood etc that will set you back well over $1000 for full functionality. There are other brands such as Opal for the similar money. Has anybody had experience with the Seicane brand? Seems a very smart option for prefacelift t5? Not sure regarding access to AUS GPS maps.

Regarding the Erisin brand, very ordinary reviews in general on line. So it is good that some on this forum have reasonable experiences.

Correct link for VW T5. Seems to have good customer service reviews as well a good reviews for quality.

Also link for Opal, but may not cover pre face lift T5.

I have a clarion NX702A that you can have for $600. Perfect condition, I'm selling because i scored a mates RNS510.

Does your Multivan have the same head unit space as a standard Transporter ? seems narrower than the ones I have fitted to our early T5's . I think that style is the same as the Toureg one .

Horward, the upspec version with 7 inch touch screen in the third link indicates 2007 to 2010 in the detailed specs. I would need to measure and verify with the supplier including whether facia panel surround is required. The detailed specs seem pretty good. I would add the rear camera but not digital tv or crash camera recorder. Comes with Sat nav. Cheers Scott

You need to check the opening it should be 188mm x 116 mm that's the size for our older model T5 2004 - 2010 , this is the one I fitted Erisin ES7648V 7" Car DVD GPS for POLO LUPO T5 SHARAN SEAT, View car dvd gps for polo, Erisin Product Details from Shenzhen Erisin Electronics Co., Ltd. on Alibaba.com scroll down to the photos and you can see the size.
I think the supplier you have listed may have the models confused BUT the Multivan MAY be different so please check . Main thing to remember is that after 2010 all the VWs have the same size as most of the other model VW s Golfs Polos etc and it IS a different shape .

Hi Howard, I have just measured the size of OEM CD player and it is 118mm high and 188mm wide. Or 230 mm wide with two side facia panels included either side of CD player. It is probably 116mm high for the actual opening net of stereo lip overlap at sides.

I have trawled the Seicane site and this appears to be the latest highest spec one with latest Android 5 plus version, quad core etc.

If you scrow right down it shows 230mm wide and 188mm panel size and also install size measurements. With the two side facia panels removed on my OEM fit it should fit fine? I will need to send a photo to the supplier to verify. For some reason I cannot add a photo of my current CD player to this link. Cheers Scott
