Short answer is no. They are not remotely compatible...and even if you could it'd still be cheaper to buy a used T5 with the donk you want.
However, you can get many more torques out of a T4 TDi...
Have been reading abit on diesel conversion for T4's but most are the early t4 tdi's. Any one know if you can do a T5 TDI engine into T4? Its just that they have much better torque. thanks

1. aftermarket chip (see forum sponsors like Hardings and others)
2. go to the T4 Forum in the UK and search for Project Power - basically new nozzles and a ECU remap
3. bigger turbo, bigger exhaust, new clutch, new simpler flywheel and some chip tuning
Personally.....couldn't be stuffed. I'll wait until the engine is ready to be rebuilt...
