    T5 Stereo Fascia

I want to remove the current stereo in my 2007 T5 Transporter and replace it with one with iPod connectivity and Bluetooth. I can't afford a VW original, I'm looking for a fascia that will allow me to put in an aftermarket head unit. Does anyone know where I can buy one?

The Autobarn should have the fascia, if you need one.

If I remember correctly the van has a single "din " radio with a separate space underneath . We replaced our 2005 head unit with a Double Din unit from China link here to see the one we currently have ES8038US 7" HD CAR DVD Player GPS Ipod Wifi 3G RMVB VW Passat Jetta Golf Skoda | eBay The lower section removes easily and the unit fits the hole perfectly .I will point out if you order this one contact the supplier to ensure you get the unit with Australian Maps for the GPS .The unit has every thing you will need you can add a camera if required . Standard it plays DVS CD mp3, disc's etc .Digital TV / GPS// Bluetooth/ touch screen VW welcome Logo/ AM FM radio /Ipod connection /USB connection .

Yes, you right Howard, it's the double din slot that takes single or double din audio very easily and no fascia should be needed. You will need the radio removal tool, to remove the VW radio.

its quite easy to make one which is what I did just two narrow pieces of metal with small bend at the end to grab and pull from , then you can slide it in beside the unit and release . It has been a hell of alot of years but I am confident thats how I did it maybe someone who has got the VW tool can post a picture ?

why would you make it when it costs less than $20 for the set and even less if you need only the 2 for the T5 radio?

I see the bad tool ruining the little spring mechanism on the units quite often and the butchers who use them even don't care to straighten them up when re-installing the unit.
