    T5 Rear liftup door

    Hi

Looking for a VW Transporter T5 rear door white and complete with glass
My apprentice back into a tree, compressed the high mount stop light in, damaged the top section of the door and shatterd the screen.

My other half just backed into a high post, and pot a hole right through the outside skin of the rear door on our T5. The repair cost was about $3.5K, of which we had to pay $500 excess. That cost included full replacement of the door, and some work on the bumper as well.

Sorry to hear it. I thought Multivan's have reverseing sensors or is it an option? Must say it has saved me many time especially with low posts.

I wasn't in the car when it happened, but she has the habit of turning off the reversing sensors cause she doesn't like the noise. I'm not saying this is what happened though ....
Also the point where the post hit was at 1.6 metres off the ground. The way it penetrated the skin would suggest it is a danger to anyone who was to hit it with their head. I should go back and have a look.
