    I'm pretty certain GOO4000 supercedes GOO2000.

They're both synthetic either way. If it's badly discoloured, as you desrcibe, further diagnosis ma be required.

Fellas, I'm about to change the power steering fluid in my T5. Can i get away with just sucking out the old fluid from the reservoir, refilling with fresh fluid, zig zag around the block to circulate the fluid, and then repeating this process another 2 or 3 times until the remaining old fluid is pretty much diluted into the new stuff? That's the process i followed with the Forester.

Pretty much the same idea. You'll need a couple of litres of fluid, as you'll want to flush the cooler as well.

I haven't spent too much time under the bonnet so not too familiar with everything as yet... what's involved with flushing the cooler, and more importantly, where is it? I'm at work at the moment, so can't duck out to have a look for it.

If you look in through the grille, it's the top skinny (not very tall) cooler. One of the hoses on the bottle leads straight to it.

Cheers, will have a look tonight. So i pull of the hose, drain and refill the cooler using the same method as the reservoir?
