Bluefin, whereever you procure them from, they will need to specced for load rating.
cheers,

Looks like the previous owner tried to paint the wheel studs and they look terrible. Where is the best place to source new ones? I'm not even going to bother to ring VW, and ebay uk has plenty of aftermarket sets, but unsure of quality.

Ye, i thought that might be the case, hence why i asked here rather than just grabbing an ebay special. Any idea what the required spec's are? I have a local factory who specialises in fasteners, and they every size/spec nut and bolt under the sun. they even custom make to order, if you know what you want.
Is there not a breakers/wreckers near you?
There must be one in Sydney....
Just an idea.
Rob
Ye, i'll keep that as a last resort. I'm about to detail and wax the wheels so would prefer shiny new ones to finish the look.

Decided to get a price from VW just to humour myself...wait for it, $214
My 2008 Multivan Comfortine TDI Auto is 215/65 R16 C 106/104/T Tyres as an example. That is, load rating is 106/104.
Regards,
Scott

Another thought, at that price, dip them in petrol or turps or something to remove the paint!!
Cheers,
Scott
Advice is to buy 1. Paint stripper 2. Aluminum caliper paint. Cost you less than $30 and they will look like new
thanks for the tips fellas
