T5 Multivan starter replacement

Hi guys,

The starter motor in my T5 multivan has just crapped itself and I'm wondering how is it removed? I just can't seem to access it from the top or actually see how to remove it from the bottom... Please correct me if I'm wrong but it does sit on the top of the engine underneath the fuel filter and the overflow bottle. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated...

It's a 2011 T5 multivan 103KW DSG if that is of any assistance... Model #7EM... Eng # CCH 04**** Not sure of the DSG code...

Yep, will be on the top side, at the front of the DSG.

I'd say it would be a combination of doing things from up top, and underneath.
