Question: what’s the biggest fill you have managed to put in the vehicle when running to empty.... without running out?

T5.2 Tank size is listed as 80L

Fuelly: Mrs Hawk's Dexter (Volkswagen Kombi) | Fuelly

    103kW/340TDI

    Best: 936km @ 7.81L/100km (73.08L)
    Worst: 598km @ 12.97L/100km (77.54L)
    Running Average over 210k: 10L/100km

I find that *THE* best fuel economy in these is cruising around at about 90km/h, speeding up to 100, 110, 120 sees the fuel use increase pretty quickly thanks to the aerodynamics of a slightly rounded brick

With the audible signal going ding, ding, ding, I pulled into a BP servo at the Northside of Brisbane & ran 84.5 litres in until the first automatic stop of the pump. Afterwards, I had the Government department check the pump, and they came back to me saying that it was within specs.

That exact same thing happened to me afew years back on a drive up to the Sunshine Coast , like you contacted the department of weights and measures to lodge a complaint as I had never managed to get more than 80- litres into the tank , and also the gauge was still registering fuel in the tank so it was weird .

My apprentice dropped the vehicle back to work with range on 0DTE and I had to drive 2 km to fill up.

    87.8 litres went in
