    t5 multivan flyscreens

Hi hoping someone can confirm for the multivan sliding side windows what flyscreen options there are. Was there any vw oem options? Part number / where to get? Any options that are a frame flyscreen that can stay in place with the window closed and driving, vs magnetic options that need to be stuck on everytime you want to use them?

    Cheers, Sam

    Hi Sam,

If you are referring to the roller sun blinds (?) on the middle and rear windows, the blind mechanism is recessed into the window base.

The blind mechanism can be removed by popping it out.

Standard oem on all Multivans as far as I am aware.

    Regards,

    Scott.

Hi Scott, the remove sun blind mechanism by "popping it out", do you assume that or know for sure?
(My roller sun blind in the door got ripped, I could not remove it by "popping it out". Took it to the dealer, who confirmed that the removal is an intricate procedure, most of door trim would need to come off. I did not proceed with the replacement due to the significant labour cost)

    Hi Tig-uan,

My apologies, you are correct. Internal trim ( sliding door and rear) unfortunately needs to be removed. For some reason I thought they popped out from the top without removing the trim, but that would be too simple wouldn't it...

Hi Sam, please disregard my earlier post!

    Regards,

    Scott

Hi All, no not referring to the factory fitted pull up sunshades, which aren't effective flyscreens (though i wish these were atleast designed in a way that would have made them effective privacy screens). I'm referring to the middle slider windows and best options to keep these open at night but the mozzies out.

    Cheers, Sam

I’ve also been looking for a solution. I have one of these on order, I’ll let you know how it fits:

Thanks Stickshift, though probably not what I'm after, not that concerned about security, maybe i should be.

I think i found something but not sure how good these are

Not clear if they can stay in place whilst driving. Anyone have experience with these? Haven't searched extensively for where to purchase.

The original fly screen (7H7068528A) looks like a good option for your needs.

I received the Reimo product today, good quality and fits well. I can now leave the van ventilated while on day hikes, and get better (mozzie proof) air flow at night. It takes less than 30 seconds to fit & remove, you can drive with it fitted (but can’t close the window).
