For eighty grand plus on roads...........she'd want to be a pretty amazing machine!!! Especially since the SWB Crew Van with the same driveline can be had for almost half that.....

The Australian version doesn't have Bi-Xenon headlights, just the normal Multivan twin reflector halogen headlights (I saw one in my local dealers yesterday). It does have lots of flash interior trim though, and makes my standard van look positively austere (and lighter, cheaper and faster ).

Probably not engineered for RHD use.

Seeing as they are on UK (RHD) vehicles then obviously they are suitable for RHD, and VW Australia have put Xenon lights on plenty of their other vehicles (at a price), my guess is price/inventory control issues (not many T5s using it makes them very expensive to fit in the first place, and forces VW to carry more (different) spare parts.

In Australia Xenon lights have to be fitted with Headlight washers and some kind of beam levelling setup (either the whole vehicle or the lights themselves). I noticed the Multivan Sport had a blank below the headlights, presumably for the (not fitted) headlight washer that wasn't required for the (not fitted) Xenon headlights.

While we are talking about Xenon (or more properly "gas discharge" headlights), has anyone noticed that when other manufacturers describe their lights as "bi-xenon" they mean both low beam and high beam are xenon, but when VW describe their lights as "bi-xenon" they mean both low beams are xenon, while high beam has conventional halogen globes - what a cheek
