I like my BMW X5 17s with 55 height tyres. 50 is too low IMO for them. I was lucky enough to get two front wheels as they're plenty wide enough.

MrScooter: Not sure if it's the kind of thing you're after, but I'm quite willing to part with the 17" factory option mags that were on my Transporter. In Brisbane. They're in decent nick apart from a little gutter rash from the previous owners.

i have actually put 20" range rover wheels on mine. Found them on ebay for $300 for the set of 4. They had the required load rating of 850kg per corner. Then went and got 275/40 R20's from Bosman tyres for $155 each fitted. These also had a legal load rating of 106 which is more than the standard 103's. Also had to get range rover conversion bolts from ebay to fit the wheels on.
The tyres perform really well even on wet roads. The only draw back is tyre noise but keep in mind it is a really cheap tyre. Am upgrading to a Nexen tomorrow actually as the fronts went out of alignment and wore the inside left tyre bald. Hope that helps!

    t5 mag wheels

RONAL R53 for the new VW Transporter T6 - Ronal Wheels

    New for the T6

Sourcing nice wheels with the required load rating in Australia is a pain, I ended up going with 17" Ronal r41 in trend color from performance alloys in the uk. All 4 wheels landed here for roughly $1300 shipping took 4 days from UK to Sydney.

    I had a thread here -

With some good info from members on sizing pros & cons.

Here my 16" steel to 17" pics

Best part about these wheels was the change to where they sit. Much closer to flush with the sides of the van which made it handle much better and sit more solid on the road.

Ok I was going to powder coat my wheels, but I don't have a spare set so that is out. I am now looking at BMW rims, will all x5 rims fit for my t5 132 kW 4motion? I do not want to use spacers, so will they clear my larger brake callipers?

X5 wheels in 17" or 18" will clear the brake callipers. Have a look at the set I have on the Amarok (sig link). BMW X5 18" plasti dipped black. I actually bought them off a guy who had them on his T5.

I actually have a spare set (still silver) of the 18" X5 rims with spigot/hub rings suitable for a T5/Amarok that I'm willing to sell, PM me if interested.

No bolts though and you will need BMW specific bolts as the heads are different for BMW rims.

Just waiting on a bit of money to come through before I bite the bullet.
