    Well said Gregozedobe,
The engine’s life is sacrificed in the favor of the environment.
I'd like to keep mine until I see T6 here and what engine options it will come with.

And one wonders in environmental terms whether a smaller higher revving engine actually has less emissions than a larger lazy lower revving engine. And because of the power to weight ratio, might actually use more fuel to do the job of pushing a heavy vehicle along.

Also with vehicles/engines designed to be replaced more often, poses some questionable theories whether it actually more environmentally friendly from a manufacturing perspective.

    Regards,

    Scott

    You're right.
It is money and profit first, environment second.
Smaller engines should also be cheaper to manufacture. They also need less oil, less coolant and so on.

Should be interesting once its released but bit annoyed VW are so good at keeping secrets and are taking so long to release T5 revamp.

It could be worse, I ordered mine back in March '07 and took delivery in July '07....and in the mean time VW Aust. dropped their prices by over $2000+ as the MY08 specs were released in June 2007. Yes I raised the issue only to be told we have paid for your order ....I didn't quite believe that.

If it's any consolation I don't think we'll see this update until the end of this year or next year at best and looking at the rear end shot nothing's changed apart form the indicator amber lens changing to clear coloured like the reverse light lens.
