    SO it came with the MFD still.....but no wheel?
    Yep MFD but no MFSW. I told them the options I wanted which included the MFD2 (wanted the temp and fuel gauges) and MFSW. The paperwork had "Multi Function TC" which I assumed was the Multi Function package (didn't know what TC was). When the vehicle arrived without the MFSW I said WTF? no wheel? They said it wasn't ordered, it's not on the paperwork. I said BS it wasn't ordered! It's on the original quote.

    Basically they weren't going to supply the MFSW because it wasn't on the official order so I said you can either order another van WITH a MFSW or give me my deposit back. After a couple weeks of negotiation they offered to supply a MFSW FOC as long as they didn't have to get it working.

    The sales manager is a top bloke so the negotiations were civil with no agro. Although I really wanted to drive away with a working MFSW I was satisfied with the outcome.

    Yes, it can be made to work and coded (will need Ross tech for this). It is just a question of adding the wiring for the MFSW.
    I can put you in touch with the guy that did my install on the weekend. He knows how to get it all wired up and coded.

    Not surprised about the failure to deliver what was ordered. Had the same experience with my 2 work vans. It took just short of 12 months and a little visit to the courts to the dealer to correct my shortage. I feel for you.

    hi all, just picked up a 2010 Caravelle with no MFD and no MFSW and I attempted to fit the GTI wheel. I couldn't get the coding working. Now it appears I'm missing some wires for the LIN control, I have VCDS and a 087 BCM, what other parts would I need?

    The GTI wheel was working great in my Caddy before !

    Replace Airbag wiring loom with 3C8 971 584F, if not supplied with the MFSW

    Buy 1 x VW 000 979 135 E wire, cut I half and extend wire
    The wires from the stalk are;
    pin 9 to fuse 34 in central fuse box (or an ignition live) I joined to a wire under dash, don't remember which one though
    pin 10 to pin 17 of the white 73pin plug on the body control module, this already has a wire in that position as its the Lin bus, solder onto this wire.
    Code the BCM with VCDS & tell it you have a MFSW

    If you want trip computer then recode the instruments, really easy to do

    Hi guys,

    Awesome thread.

    I have MY2012 T5 Caravelle 7E, and have successfully retrofitted a rcd510 and 9w7 kit. It has a black and white MFD and non MFSW. If I bought a golf mk6 MFSW, would the controls work or do I need to also get other bits like a Steering wheel module etc. your help is appreciated. Mark

    No all you need is the wheel with MFSW + airbag and paddles (if you want paddles), the new wiring loom (when I bought my wheel from the USA it came with the loom for free) and the repair wires - exactly as listed in the post above yours. Some wiring changes required as detailed in the post above yours. These cars are based off Polo so no steering control module is present which is good. It all runs straight off the LIN bus from the BCM
