    T5 DRL Caravelle Style Headlamps

Well, it looks like the projector headlamp units are becoming more readily available.

I can't comment on how they compare against the OEM part (Caravelle headlamp), but they look similar to the units installed by some of the UK forum members.

The Audi DRL style is not my "cup of tea", but at least there's some more choice

    invisible car bra

    Hi Tombi,

I had this 'invisible car bra' film applied just after purchase, and have been very happy with it. (contact;- James Pierce 0419 435 427 www.invisiblecarbras.com.au ). No stone chips in 47000Km, including trip to Cape Yorke and easier than paint to clean bugs etc off. Not cheap at $1100, but I had full bonnet covered (not just leading edge as is usually done), plus grill, (painted) bumper, A pillars, leading edges of pop-top, gas bottle compartment, LH vent (part of camper conversion), awning, and rear step.
It's a permanent (but removable for repairs) film, so no concerns about remembering to put it on, or about chafing paint.
I've got no connection with the company, other than being a happy customer. I'm in Fairfield (Vic) if you want to have a look. Call me (9481 5673) to arrange.

We probably should have a new thread for this topic. Does any-one know how to move the last 2 posts into a new thread?

Thanks Brian for the heads up.
I actually rang that fellow today and I am going to have some of the body work protected. Rear bumper, door handle cups and probably the bonnet and front bumper after your experience with it.
You're right about it not being cheap, then again paint repairs aren't either, so it's probably worth while.
I wish I had had it applied last week, because I discovered several scratches on the bonnet over the weekend. (I've only had it 2 weeks today).
A standard Car Bra is $440.00 and they do cover the bonnett and bumper apparrently. I have a road trip to Sydney in a couple weeks, so I want to get something sorted for the front before I head off.
Will keep you posted on what and $$$

    Cheers Tombi

Those early marks are a bugger. I picked my van up from Trakka in Sydney and had to drive it back before I could get the 'bra' done. There are a couple of tiny marks under the film, quite hard to see, but i know they're there.
    Enjoy the road trip.
