    Hi Vaughan,

    If fuses are okay, could be the cruise control switch on the indicator stalk or a faulty wiring or contacts within the stalk.

    Thanks, that seems to be the consensus across the many YouTube videos on the subject! The T4-5-6 steering stalks seem to generate a lot of concern for people.

    Its not that difficult that guy went way overboard with the whole instrument cluster out , I can only recall removing the lower dash panels beside the steering column and the connection point was right in front of that area .

    Ah OK, I see that bit now … I have had the side of that part of the panel off to run cable for the HUD, so it might not be too hard to spot the in line fuse from the side. Repair Cruise Control project remains ongoing!

    They still around. They were my goto for my T2 Kombi.

    Fella I bought my T5 from is a wire wizard in the automation industry...Still has t5s just rewired the stalk, wires were toast! rubbed through the poxy black sheath ...

    Thanks, not sure I am up to that level of repair myself … but will keep it in mind when I finally get around to talking to an auto electrician about it. I have a feeling it must be in the control stalk or steering column wiring. All the fuses I can find seem to be OK.
