I missed being able to see how much you lowered your van. How low did you take it, and what brand of Coil overs did you use?
I'm doing up my 2007 T5 van, and have just fitted the Golf GTI flat bottom leather steering wheel this week. Looks great and feels so much better. Dropping the van will be the next task.
I run 18 inch Genuine VW Savannah rims with Yokohama Advan 255's rubber.
I've also set my van up for carrying a bike (1947 Indian Chief) so your interior mods are in line with my plans, i.e Amps on the wall, sub enclosure (though not as big) etc.
    Thanks for any info.

    Cheers for the responces guys,

Rebuild - Thanks for the idea but i dont have a cage in my van and you can't race a bike that has a metal rod on either side of the forks! Tiedowns don't take up any room too.

Greg - Cheers mate i ended up going for the slightly higher side wall so i can ride kerbs n rocky tracks without busting rims, Kumho KU31 255/45-20

Ken - I lowered the car on Hottuning coilovers from Belgium, which i bought from guys off this site. The rear of the car was previously highered so that was lowered 105mm and the front by 75mm. although fitting 20" wheeels raised the ride height by 22mm all round.
    I like these coilovers.
Golf GTI steering wheel would be cool!

yeah i like the subs on the wall but keep in mind that if your windows arn't tinted by at least 10% they are visable to all, they light up at night which isn't cool for burglar prevention either! (i put small stickers over the big blue lights )

Na mate mine dont make any noises, they creak at the reat when going over kerbs n stuff a little bit but nothing worth mentioning really, drive into a suspension shop n get them to check it, 5 mins of thier time i'd imagine,

    Hope that helps mate

    Hi Kevo,

Do you still have centre spigots for sale. If so please I am interested. If not could you post where you found them.
Hoping to fit 18inch bmw x5 rims to my T5 crewvan.

You may already know this, assuming Kevo no longer has them available.

Thanks Ivo, Purchased yesterday. To use with Bmw X5 18 inch wheels. I am starting to look around for tyres. Does anyone have a suggestion for a semi-practical tyre(cost & kms). I have read a few tyre reviews but not many people running around with two tonnes plus on their tyres. Also looking at lowering Van with Elbach springs.(30mm) Still want to be able to tow and after standing wheels next to Van It looks like it will be a bit higher. No real problem with extra height but I am wanting to loose some of the lean in corners.

I run Yokahama ADVANS on my VW Savana 18 inch rims.
I got 60,000 KMS out of the last set. Expensive but high quality, load rated sport van tyres.

    Ha.. That isn't stacked.

I've lost the shot from the back of the van but this is what the side door looked like.

    Uploaded with ImageShack.us

There was 3 bikes in the van, full riding gear for 5 people including leathers, stands, some fuel cans, tyres, tool kits etc. It was loaded to the roof and there wasn't any room left. also had 3 bikes on a trailer! note careful insertion of bags!
